Unveiling the Annapurna

The Annapurna region is a place shrouded in mystery and majesty, located in the heart of the Himalayas its home to some of the world’s most notorious peaks and is a realm where beauty and danger intertwine. I wanted to capture the essence of this awe-inspiring terrain through a lens of abstraction. I photographed on film using the rare and discontinued Kodak Aerochrome Infrared film stock crucial to unveiling a hidden dimension to these landscapes. Scenes of vibrant foliage rendered in shades unseen by the naked eye, juxtaposed against the harsh terrain of the soaring cliff faces above hold a seductive presence. Through this photographic medium I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and reverence for the untamed wilderness where beauty and peril coexist in perfect harmony.
