Oftentimes, back alleys are not merely narrow passageways between or behind buildings, at least in Hong Kong. Often associated with darkness, filth, and even peril, alleys are frequently overlooked by most people, rendering them inconspicuous to our senses.
Nevertheless, for certain individuals, alleys serve as an essential component to their daily lives. Why are they essential? What do people do there? How do people use them to their advantage? This project aims to transport the viewers to these “uncharted” areas and unravel the possibilities that lie within these seemingly forgotten spaces.
