Water had long been a mainstay element in the construction of my work. Being around water bring calm helps to quiet the mind. The long distance walk gave a different kind of peace, a solitude, but it was different to that which is gained by being near to water.
Each of these images either feature or are connected to water. The tears in 'Allowed to leave' are from myself, an emotional outpouring of drops on a page. The 'Ecobustable' was taken next to a waterfall and then I followed the course of the river through the valley. 'Gorgeous Surprise' was just that hidden in the darkness as a thunderous roar protrudes into the distance. 'Where others do not tread'; for this I was stood in the river, and for 'Free Ride' I was stood beside the river edge whilst it continued to flood.
It could be in some ways connected to the amount of water that makes up the human body that draws me to water, this is something I continue to explore. Either way, for a long time it has been a part of my practice and will likely continue to be with ever increasing interest.
