Equivalence

I look at the world in terms of beauty, harmony, and order. By eliminating pictorial space, I focus the viewer’s attention on elements such as shape, line, form, and texture to reveal each subject’s architecture and emotional core. These images stand in relation to each other and create a dialogue between the human and natural environments that makes us feel something that neither can do on its own. My intent is that these unpredictable associations evoke emotions that challenge perceptions, perspectives, and assumptions thereby raising awareness of the beauty in the ordinary.
