Presence of absence

The presence of others is felt in the landscape where the past accumulates. I temporarily moved to Amsterdam from March 2022 and traveled to various places until returning to Tokyo at the end of 2023. As I move around the world, especially in urban areas, I see people passing by with a ceremonial indifference, and I am no different. Like being present but absent. Footprints in the desert make me more aware of the existence of people and creatures, and make me aware of my current location.
