Souls of Chiapas
Project info

I spent 12 days in Chiapas, the poorest state in Mexico City, from an economic stand point of view. What I found is a very rich country in terms of natural resources, traditions and values. People live in very basic conditions and value family and traditions a lot.

They are not very friendly of cameras. They think that if a picture of them is taken their souls get stolen but when you build a good relationship with them, magic happens and things can change.

I loved taking different portraits of the people I met and and being able to capture them in their usual atmosphere, doing their daily chores and moreover showing their souls and feelings.
