along the river

now, I look back, at the beginning, all through the years, of being in love with and being around the Mississippi River. much time spent here, with and without cameras. feeling, now very fortunate to be here, near the banks, close to the waters. along the way, there have been long projects and just alone images. so much of my work has a similar feeling, gentle softer time. I wish to see this way. black and white film, various sizes, prints are sepia toned, often lightly tinted. the river, the crossings have been a special obsession project. these ten photos are a bit of a mix up, but all about the waters of the Mississippi River, close, and one from the headwaters, a trip I have wanted to do for many years…made it!
