Ballet Dancers in Beijing Sky
As one of the most polluted cities in the world, Beijing enjoyed a period of rare but artificially-induced blue skies in the build up to a massive military parade held to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. During this period, Beijing’s polluting factories were shut down and car use was limited to create pollution-free skies. It provided an opportunity for a conceptual portrait shoot of Beijing ballet dancers against the backdrop of an alluring sunset. The blue skies quickly disappeared after the parade.
