I am a city-person, born in a city, grown-up and lived in cities all my life. I probably cannot tell more than 6 different species of trees and as many of plants or flowers. Nature and country side was always just a much quiter place where to recharge for a weekend but I never had much interest...until I started hiking in nature.
Such time corresponds to a period where I opened up to my inner self and started uncovering my feelings that been muted for some time. Of course one cannot heal until one feels and lets out.
Taking photographs along my excursions, enhanced my visual acuity, making me more aware of the diversity of forms, the multitude of tones and the amazing field of play to compose with these.
When reviewing this series it brings back memories of the visual excitement I was in while capturing these images. And I make a parallel between the endeavor to create compelling compositions from natures abundant chaos and the inner sense that came about from the emergence of these feelings I was no longer used to.
