"Paredão" is a documentary photographic project, consisting of 10 photographs in black and white, which were captured in Cascais, between January and September 2015.
The “Paredão” of Cascais extends for about 3.5 km, connecting the village of Cascais with S. João do Estoril. It is one of the favorite leisure places of the inhabitants of the region.
This project aims to be a picture of situations and moments between the mundane and the peculiar, showing some of our idiosyncrasies, with the sea as the main background.
Black and white was adopted to remove some potential distracting factors, bringing some timelessness and classic look to the images. The fact that it was performed in analog form also contributes to this effect.
