Childhood Suite
Project info

I believe that most photography is basically a record, however unconscious, of man's impermanence, of his constant flirtation with mortality.
Photographing children, in their unformed and often mysterious state, can be especially reflective of this. The child's world is appealing for its warmth and spontaneity but is also a challenge because of its ultimate unreachability.
While these photographs were made over a period of years, they do not speak to a particular time-frame, as both the child and the unconscious know no calendar.
