Textile Memories

Armenian carpets hold a particular place in national memory. They gather craft, symbols, family history, and a sense of belonging into objects made to last across generations. Present in the most intimate spaces of the home, they are not only decorative objects but witnesses: to origin, migration, inheritance, and continuity. This project looks at the carpet as a domestic archive. Through portraits and interiors, it explores how Armenian identity is preserved not only in monuments or official histories, but in the objects people live with, protect, inherit, and place around themselves.
