Figures in the Flames
Figures in the Flames are covered nudes inspired as much by fine art as by the tradition of veiled nudes in photography. They are monochrome in that the palette was limited to red and black, achieved by using a single light source reflected from a human body through a sheer red cloth. The combination of lighting, the body's pose and the texture and folds in the fabric are intended to create almost abstract figures. Except for the first image, they are presented in the natural order they were taken.
