Embers in My Home
The memory of home when we think of it, often brings us to our childhood where we grew up. It can be our bedroom, kitchen or living room where we watched TV and often felt most safe. Cuddled up in our favorite blanket or studying in our room, home is often referred to as where your heart is. Caught in this series of photos is the remnants of my home in Montreal that was recently destroyed by fire.
However, even in its burnt out state, as illustrated by my niece and roommate Alissa, beauty and comfort is still very much alive even amongst the remnants of sizzling embers.
