Deep within the mines of Cerro Rico mountain in Potosí, Bolivia, children risk their lives plundering the earth for precious metals. Often they start working in the mines to support their fathers, uncles, brothers. Sometimes they are orphans who lost their parents in the mines, and have to support the rest of their family. Too often they have no choice but to follow their fathers' faith.
For what? To satisfy rich countries' demand of precious metals commonly used in electronics such as cell phones and computers, but also in defense and aerospace.
