Tea-Land: Munnar

The hill station of Munnar is high in the western Ghatsin Kerala district, India. It is a popular destination for both local and foreign visitors. The relatively cool climate and rugged terrain it is dotted with tea plantations that are a sensory delight, widely documented in travel media. I wished to go beyond the picturesque and meet some some of the people who pick the tea, clip the bushes and effectively manicure the landscape.
