My personal view of street life in different cities
Project info

Street photography allows me to have an endless exploration of every city I have visited. Strolling around the city with no specific destination in mind, we can discover the snapshot aesthetic in the everyday life, catching a touch of local flavour of each city and culture. In Shanghai, local residences gathering together to entertain themselves by singing “revolution songs”, young monks in Mandalay city waking up early in the morning to collect alms in the streets, and the list goes on…

Whether taking picture in the moment of the outside world through the frame of viewfinder, or shooting from the hip, I usually don’t ask for permission or arrange a posed image, I feel it is important to trust your own instincts and avoid an expression too forced in the subject. I like a quote from the Chicago Street Photographer Jason Martini “You can just take it.”
