A vertical plane placed over an horizontal plane becomes a dihedral. From there, space is somehow defined and structured.
The vertical wall may have textures, color, holes, signs, etc., whereas the horizontal asphalt is harmonized by the modulated
lines that refer to the car size and, implicitly, to the human scale. Here comes order, measurement and pattern. The collective
narrative of these photographs may be read as evocative figures of the essence and origin of urban space.
The question is whether the reference should be automobiles or individuals.
