This body of work is an exploration of a new contemporary reality while looking into a world of glass reflections.
In the big city, we are confronted by these images daily but rarely take notice. The translucent nature and reflectivity of street windows, storefronts and building glass panes allow what is in front of and behind my lens to come together and become something else. This meshing of multiple dimensions is what interests me every time I find a new angle to attack, sometimes placing myself at the right spot and waiting for a curious gaze before freezing the moment.
Through close observation, I hope to challenge the viewer to examine and question how these two worlds collide and harmonize to become one. What is real?
These are straight pictures. There are no digital composites or double exposures. I am the outside observer looking in and simply witnessing and recording what these surfaces are seeing.
