ING Unseen Talent Award 2016
Project info

The ING Unseen Talent Award is an initiative by ING and Unseen that gives new photography talent a platform to present their work on a global scale. What began as a Dutch initiative in 2013 has turned into a European award focused on scouting talent from across the whole of Europe.

The aim of the award is to give artistic talents the opportunity to raise their level. It gives young artists what they really need: a platform, a network and expertise. The five best European photography talents are rewarded with the ING Unseen Talent Programme. This includes coaching sessions with the internationally established American artist Todd Hido and a range of workshops with different professionals in the field. The winner of the award will be given a commission to create new work for the ING Collection in the theme: Fool for Love.

The final works from this year’s talents are shown at Unseen Photo Fair 2016 (22-25 September) in Amsterdam, where the nominees have the unique opportunity to present their work to the art world. The ING Unseen Talent Award Ceremony will take place during the official opening night of Unseen on the 22nd of September. Here the international jury will announce the winner of the award, who will receive a project production fund of €10,000.
