Dublin's Docklands: A Hermetic World, interrogates the nature of trade and commerce through the prism of Dublin port and the people who work there, and examines the disruptive impact of technology on a long established, though almost invisible community. On the one hand it captures the scale and volume of trade flowing through what is the main point of entry for the country. On the other, it is a collection of thoughtfully rendered portraits of the stevedores themselves that bring us back to a human scale.
