The Administration of Fear
Fear has become an environment in our society. Wars, catastrophes and epidemics are no longer localized and limited by a certain timeframe.
Fear has become the world
we live in.
These events are a part of our everyday live and become synchronized in seconds by mass media. Fear is a political instrument which manifests itself in thoughts about security and protection from possible events.
In Administration of Fear I try to transform this fears by creating such a dreaded event.
What you see is a staged catastrophe with real live emotions.
The radio or phone was manipulated and the people in the picture thought there was a nuclear accident, a beginning of a war or simply losing a job.
Staging gets real for a second because of fiction.
