A Village Portrait

Little towns hidden in the Andes mountains are meeting points of peasants. Meanwhile, tourists are attracted by the colonial past of these places and the slow and peaceful passing of time feeling. Thus, they are at the same time a borderline between urban and rural worlds, and a space of mutual recognition of faces coming from different contexts and environments: city dwellers and peasants. This village portrait is a reflection on how do we look at others and how do others look at us when coming from different realities. Do we invade or do we meet? (Villa de Leyva, Colombia, 2014).
