Thick, humid and heavy air of Hong Kong is what millions of people breathe in and out like little pumps in a large and sophisticated factory. Divided and encapsulated, the Hong Kong inhabitants struggle through the density of atmosphere, getting glued to this place, pressed into it. This air brings them joy and sadness, it gives them rain and heat, empowers them with love and hatred. They suck it, touch it, see it, and yet remain alone within their cells and compartments, moving but motionless, enlightened but lost, faithful but uncertain. The endless book of Hong Kong is made of almost eight million unique short stories, and the only thing they have in common is this viscous and sticky air.
