In August 2014, I went to the Indian National Park of Xingu, with the Secretary of Culture of Rio de Janeiro, who was engaged with the Indians about their house near Maracanã Stadium that was about to be demolished for the Fifa's World Cup. We spent the death ritual, Quarup, there learning about their culture. The ritual is prepared during days of fishing, playing music and painting themselves for the fight between tribes. The night before the ritual is very important. They can't sleep, because spirits may enter the fighters bodies. The next day is a sequence of fight between men of each tribe.
