Festival of Lights
The idea was to tell, in a simple way, the history of this ancient Peruvian Highland tradition. Simply by being a witness to what happened, I spent a week there, knowing and studying people and their everyday life., trying to figure out how the religious tradition resists the advances of modernity.
Also, I wanted to relive the excitement I had experienced in my childhood something intimate, engaging, simply and indelibly joyous..
In each subject of this this project, I see people who somehow, with their simplicity, characterized my childhood memories.
An inner journey to find out how to change what in the past joined the South of continents, Europe and America, Traditions. More and more diluted in the depths of a sterile and cruel modernity.
