The confrontation between Ukraine government and opposition forces had been occurred for months since November 2013 when it culminated in February 2014. Coup was accomplished in three days. Protesters effort to picketing the Ukranian parliament launched on February 18th had led to a dramatic deterioration of the situation which transformed into real fighting. The final battle with sniper shots happened on February 20th on Institutskaya street. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine declaration 75 people were killed and 571 people were injured during the period from 18 to 20th February.
On February 21, the president Viktor Yanukovych was forced to withdraw the special unit "Berkut" and the forces of police troops out of Kiev, and to sign an agreement with the opposition leaders, as well as agreed to hold early presidential elections.
