Yügen

Yügen is a Japanese concept that talks about the awareness about the the universe and its immensity that triggers to emotions too deep to put into words. From that simple word I found myself in a process of acceptance of being completely small, finite and insignificant from a certain perspective. In principle this situation led me to a total lack of motivation. But as I continued to think about it, I found the meaning in this exploration, which aims to express the tangle of emotions, moods and thoughts that invade me, through images and photography as a process and a way of life. The discourse has a burden of loneliness, sadness, ambiguity, doubt and relationship with nature. This is why aesthetics is characterized by the tenuous, the little saturated and the minimalist. It ranges from portraits, to landscapes, objects and staging. Photographs within the series do not have a detailed or specific title. They are named numerically so as not to induce any interpretation or connection between the spectator and the image.
