Revolution can wait
Revolution can wait is a series of snapshot like color photographs taken from 2014 to 2016
at he memorial marches of 17 November that commemorate the events of the Athens
polytechnic riot of 17/11/1973 against the Military Junta that ruled Greece from 1967 to
1974 that ended with a cursing of the uprising from the regime . Usually in almost an
religious manner the mass rallies that commemorate the events of that day are followed with
all night riots and classes between some groups of the protesters and the riot police units . It
seems that history repeats itself as a semi staged reenactment trying to repeat or
reincarnate an uprising that never materialized in a successful revolution .
This series of photographs tries to create a small visual story of objects people and places ,
that participate or observe these events focusing not on the spectacular sublime images
created by the riots but rather on details that give insight to the, procedure the environment
that these events take placethe people that participate and their feelings.
