Here is an invitation to a journey…
We use three letters to identify airports around the world, but why take a long journey when three letters can also transport one to new locales? IDF means Ile de France and RER is the commuter train of the region around Paris. No need to go by plane. We can all enjoy brief, unique moments close by, if we just allow ourselves to be curious.
On my aimless wanderings, where I purposely get lost in order to be more attentive to things around me, I photograph ordinary subjects and give them an aesthetic value through natural light and framing. This is a procedure to reinvigorate our desire for urban structures that have lost their meaning. While there is no such thing as a utopian world, through these images I’m building a place where it is possible to enjoy the present without artifice.
