In March 2011 the Syrian civil war begun. Iran claims it has entered into the fight for its security and to help Syria against extremists and rebels. During this battle hundreds of Iranians and other nationals have been martyred. Bodies of Iranian martyrs transfer to a morgue in Behest (Heaven) street in downtown Tehran. Since 1980s the margue has been a place for the last visit of families, children and comrades of martyrs of Iran-Iraq war heroes. In this place families of war heroes weep on their children’s bodies while chanting we’ll continue their path..
