Fireworks in Japan

In Japan, many fireworks' festival are held in August. This is because Japanese August has a special period called O-bon, when dead ancestors come back to this world to meet us. In case they are lost on their way to us, fireworks become a milestone for them. Fireworks are launched for our dead ancestors and dead people to show our gratitude. Fireworks have some spiritual meaning in Japan.
