Re / Exposing to light (1998)
The sequence of five dyptichs portrays a series of stones along a riverside in southern Switzerland, captured in a "two-times" action showing the stone's upper face in its original location and then its imprint on the ground.
On a conceptual level, this project relates in several aspects to common photographic processes such as exposing a subject to light or to the revelation of an image - the imprint on the ground - produced by the direct interaction between a "positive" and "negative" as in the execution of a contact print. Polaroid 55 P/N 4x5" film was used to underline this relation.
