Isle be yours, always
A dot on the map, far off the Sør-Trondelag coast, Sørburøy is windswept and barren. Its sheep are an ancient local breed. There’s a school with eight pupils, a shop that’s open a few hours a day, and a wharf. From there, a high-speed ferry carries people and fish produce to the mainland. Over the past 50 years the remote Froan archipelago has become severely depopulated. For the remaining 35, it is a little paradise. It’s home.
