The Past is Present

This series explores abandoned mansions in Central Cairo that were nationalized and turned into public schools during the time Abdel Nasser was in office. These glorious times in Egypt have left traces buried throughout the city which now lay stagnant, covered in dust. This project documents and era frozen in time by capturing small details from these scenes of rubble as a reminder that this prosperous period of time is still present both physically and ideologically.
