Allen Thomasson LBIPP I’m a practicing professional photographer from Lancashire. I endeavour to create distinctive portraiture inspired by the styles of various schools of art and genres fro the Renaissance to the Pre-Raphaelite era. Working mainly on location, I endeavour to capture the mood, expression and personality of the subjects in front of my lens and in doing so create and capture moments that would otherwise be lost to memory. In the creation of my portraits, I adopt techniques that have a ‘painterly’ quality with a desaturated colour palette. To further enhance the images I endeavour to print them on fine art papers to provide a look and texture that is sometimes lacking in photographic papers.
