Katrin at Empty Mall, 2015

This is a series that was completed in just one shoot. The mall appears to have been built in the 1960s. The south end of the mall, at the main entrance, does have two active retail stores. The remainder of the mall is empty but well maintained and heated. As cold weather crept into Asheville I visited with mall with Katrin Dohse. We encountered no one else as we shot in the mall over the course of an hour and half.
