Making Music

Lesasa Jocker, is a Congolese born legendary musician who performs nightly at a small hotel bar in old Dubai, far removed from the City's glitz and glamour. Club Africana is a working class bar where people from all walks of life cram in a tiny dance floor or sit around small cocktail tables to watch and listen to the sound of an electrifying rumba music produced by the talented Lesasa and his eleven member band. Performing in the same location since 2010 he has no intention of slowing down. I met the band six months and instantly fell in love with the act and decided to approach the lead man to shoot whoever possible with the permission of the Club owner and manager with the condition that no images of the guests were taken.
