During my one month trip of Japan in August 2016, I sought to capture not only buildings and attractions but also the local Japanese people.
These 10 photos form a series both concerning subjects and also technically. Regarding the subjects, all shots are candid portraits of Japanese people in different types of daily situations. Technically, the photos might not have been shot with the same camera, but I found out that some were better as pure colour photos, some as black and white photos, However, I wanted my photos to have more or less the same kind of expression, so I reduced the colours in the photos as much as possible without making the people look unnatural and without making it black and white shots. Thus, I have so to speak produced photos that are in between true colour photos on one side and black and white photos on the other side.
