Identity Crisis, is about my personal life history. This includes my ongoing battle with bi polar disorder. I 've suffered from mental illness for most of my life. I didn't seek help until I was thirty. It also addresses the physical, sexual, and spiritual aspects of self.
The new self portraits are interpretations of remembrance. They are born from experience. The photographic act becomes a performance piece of unknown territory. A sense of finality or completion is accomplished once the dark slide is put back in place. The latent image and the experience of the moment is frozen in time.
