One Final Flutter

This is my farewell tribute to Walthamstow Stadium Greyhound Track. 'The Stow', as it was affectionately known, closed 16 August 2008 with the loss of 400 part-time and 50 full-time jobs. The 11-acre site was sold to a consortium for a reported £22 million and will become a housing development. Walthamstow Stadium opened in 1933, and although it wasn't the country's oldest dog track, it was arguably the most famous.
