Looking for America
Project info

In my free-time I travel a lot and devote my time to capturing the unfolding narrative on film. Big cities, the ruins, the silence - humans, so delicate and fragile, interacting with an enormous city - it's these fine contrasts that inspire me most.

Twice a year I travel to America. My husband (who is a DJ) and I do a crazy month-long tour criss-crossing the States and beyond. From airport to airport, mostly eating out of plastic containers, not sleeping well and feeling constantly jetlagged…it’s not always what it’s cracked up to be. The antidote to all of this is that it gives me the opportunity to photograph a wide range of landscapes. I love the contrast of a bustling city like New York with the desiccated, vast desert environment of Joshua Tree.
