The cost guards of Les Cayes - Haiti
This group of men is dedicated to the surveillance of the coast 24/7.
Canada constructed the facility and donated 5 boats.
Without the contributing countries, they have no capacity.
For the time being, they have no running water nor electricity.
They have a very low salary.
A Canadian police officer is assigned to support them.
He says, "these guys have the vocation.”
"They deserve Respect!"
Most of their work consists in drug surveillance that transit through "Ile à Vache".
I was assigned to take the annual group picture.
I decided to go further and take individual portraits that will be printed and given to them.
