Ethiopia Tribes
Project info

I have an opportunity to visit Ethiopia recently, during my visit, I traveled to the Oma Valley region where the ochre-skenned Hamer, the lip-plated Suri and Mursi, the painted Karo live.

I discovered that there is little authenticity in a visit to the tribe village, any visitor enters the village will notice that the tribe women, men, boys, and girls usually will intentionally put up dressing for visitors to earn "photo money". During my visit, I had tried to take as much snapshot as I could, thought I was quite often asked to pay "photo money' once anyone of them noticed my action.
