The unsettling rituals of mans obsession with 'The Dog Show"
While on an editorial assignment to cover the Westminster Dog Show I found myself unable to produce the expected mundane point and shoot editorial images. I was immediately drawn to the shapes textures and absurdities of the chaos surrounding one of America's heralded subcultures, where owners live vicariously through there animals. Some of the images are painterly, some humorous others unbelievable. I concentrate on the undercurrents in the American psyche. When animals are being put to wrong use I have an immediate viseral response, which I tried to communicate with these images.
