A Quiet Disaster
In Ethiopia around 85% of the population depend on agriculture, specifically on small hold family run farms. Climate change has had a huge impact on their way of life and the young people are already leaving the family farms in droves to try to make an income elsewhere. These communities are bearing the brunt of climate change and driving the displacement of millions of people from Sub Saharan Africa. I worked with 4 young men who left their family homes due to the consequences of climate change.
