Boxing or punching, a violent sport, is called a sweet one by the scientists. Besides being an exhilarating sport, boxing is considered as a social phenomenon. Social issues are visible in people’s life doing this sport seriously inside and outside the boxing ring as well as during the fighting. Boxing is not only a competition between two boxers, but also contains a philosophy which can influence every individual’s social status. This view is evident between boxers while fighting or in their personal life outside the boxing ring.
However, there are ample of evidence that boxers are vulnerable to brain damage, cognitive disorders, and neurological deficit caused by this sport. Thus, a teenage athlete’s early entry into the championship along with the risk of serious damage, high psychological and physiological pressure, which they tolerate to gain their ideal weight, cause severe psychological damage.
In boxing, taking revenge is the first and foremost and whenever a teenager is punched, they think of taking revenge. Therefore, a boxer needs to be fully mature and then commence this field.
Despite the fact that at adolescence, this sport should not be done competitively, there are still championships at this age range without paying attention to its harmful effects and that such behavior in future may affect teenagers ‘personality and cause the end of their championships before being a teenager.
The most important reason that today teenagers tend to do this sport, besides the own sport and the philosophy behind it, is the events and the stories in famous boxers’ life and that boxing has caused changes in their style of thinking and being well-known in society. Perhaps, many years ago, the applicants of this sport were from the working class because of their social class and strong bodies. However, today even the youth from the high society are interested in doing this sport.
