Working is life
is is a photo of a 90-year-old lady who lives in a small farm village in Gunma prefecture in Japan.
Her name is KAORU. She has been living in this village for 60 years since she married to her husband. They have earned a living by charcoal making which was required for daily life in the past.
Like most of the elderly residents live in farm villages, Kaoru spends her time here with various kinds of works along with the seasonal cycles of the forest.
What I learned from her – To live is to keep working.
I could proudly say that one old lady lives peacefully and develops her self-subsistent way of life in a small village in Japan.
