Margaret Burin portraits

Four out of five of these photos were taken in my role as a photojournalist for ABC News Australia. I fell in love with photography after studying journalism and discovering an obsession with the stories of everyday people – their journeys, struggles and triumphs – rather than the kinds of things that fit into the daily news cycle. I felt an incredible connection to each of these subjects, and think it shows in these individual images.
