Central California Pediatric Hospice Portraits

Death is hard to explore, and this opportunity to volunteer photography services for medical pediatric hospice patients in central California has challenged me unlike any other projects I have worked on before. I have permission to use these images, but I have struggled with what to do with them - this is my first time I have submitted them for a competition or made them public, however I think the work is important because it is easy to forget how fragile life is, how fragile the environment is and how precious every moment we breath should be, I learned that with my hospice visits... My submission is in honor of Nick and Maria and their families.
